Stichting ArtZuid is een initiatief van een aantal bewoners uit Amsterdam Zuid. Sinds vorig jaar zetten wij ons met een groeiend aantal vrijwilligers in om onze prachtige woonomgeving op een passende wijze te verlevendigen. Hoe willen we dit doen? In de eerste plaats organiseren wij van 16 augustus tot 26 oktober 2009 de sculptuurroute ArtZuid op de Apollolaan en Minervalaan. Deze lommerrijke lanen vormen het ideale decor om kunst tentoon te stellen. De sculptuurroute is een mooie aanleiding voor een nazomerse wandeling. U zult naast een verrassende combinatie kunstwerken, de zichtlijnen herontdekken die Berlage in zijn Plan-Zuid heeft verwerkt. Voor jong en oud staan tijdens de sculptuurroute diverse culturele activiteiten op het programma. In het weekend kunnen de kinderen knutselen in het ArtZuid-atelier. Op de autoloze zondag is iedereen van harte welkom op de buurtpicknick tussen de sculpturen.
