The eagles are returning to the Squamish area
in mid November, from different areas of the Pacific Northwest
and stay until mid February, with the largest concentration
in late December to January. The abundant runs of
chum salmon in the Squamish, Cheakamus, and
Mamquam rivers attract the eagles. These photos are from
the Eagle Viewing Dyke between Squamish and
Brackendale. They wouldn't come up close for a pose.
