This monument, that was created by Ben Guntenaar,
moved from downtown to a new location, on top of a hill on the right
of the highway from Amsterdam to Haarlem. (Guy was there)

Het kunstwerk "Plastische Tekens in Steen" van kunstenaar Ben Guntenaar wordt in verband met de vernieuwingsplannen van het Confuciusplein verplaatst.
In de nieuwe situatie zal geen plaats meer zijn voor het kunstwerk. In overleg met de kunstenaar is gekozen voor de locatie Australiëhavenweg op de heuvel in de westelijk berm tussen de spoorlijn en de Haarlemmerringvaart. Op maandag 5 februari wordt er een begin gemaakt met het vrijgraven van het kunstwerk op het Confuciusplein. Het is de bedoeling om het transport van het kunstwerk op donderdag 8 februari te laten plaatsvinden. Nadat het kunstwerk is verwijderd zal het Confuciusplein tijdelijk weer hersteld worden. Dit voorjaar zal het stadsdeel samen met de bewoners en gebruikers een ontwerp maken voor de nieuwe inrichting van het plein. Hierover wordt u ter zijner tijd verder geïnformeerd.
