Week 1, 2006 commencing at January 2.

"I certainly haven't forgotten."

"Have you forgotten, have you?"

"What would be more fun, an Aston or a willing woman in a furcoat?"

"What would be more of a kick, a new furcoat, or a restored Saab?"

"Saddle ain't gathered a speck of bird shit."

"Is it still far mam?"

"Is this a pep drink or something?"

"We prefer hot chocolate don't we?"

Sunny and warm, but somewhere else.

Along the canals it's as quiet as here in the Golden Bend of the Herengracht.
As quiet as it's busy in the Kalver- and Leidsestraat.

Yeah, a Beemer.

While the sun sets in A. she rises in Tasmania.

Somewhere else it was warm and sunny.

Evening coffee or tea at the Bagels & Beans.

Tram cops discuss who to catch next.

If attained access one may park underneath the Museum Square.

I've been thinking that such a cabin would be ideal on the beach.

Haven't had her before the lens before.

Drink factory...

Morning coffee. No day to be out on the street.

No day to bring flowers home.

Friday, silly chilly day. No day to take the roof down of the Pluriel.

A new chapter in reading. Sony released the electronic paper book
- the Sony Reader. In one of the most significant product announcements
we've ever had the privilege to report upon, Sony has announced
the lightweight Sony Reader - a product destined to transform
the electronic reading experience and which we expect will do for reading
what the iPod did for music. Coupling an innovative electronic paper display
with precise one-handed navigation, the Sony Reader will allow active readers
to carry as many books as they want to read whether they are traveling
on the road or just around the corner. Roughly the size of a paperback novel,
but thinner than most (about .5 inches thin), the device can store hundreds
of books in internal memory with the addition of an optional Memory Stick
or Secure Digital (SD) flash memory card. More.

"Jesus man, it's only a tree!"

A convenient room to write a city-trilogy.

First sighting, in the Northern wall of the concert hall.

Steering uptown, to the yuppy district.

Line 5 downtown.

And then the new day burst upon the windows of the Atrium.

Bit vague and pink and somewhat hesitative.

"My home is my castle. My automobile is my time capsule."
Look, she's winking!

Humming along to Dakar, starting on January 1st.
Dakar Rally: VW versus Mitsubishi. The Dakar Rally, in 2006 from
the Portugeuse capital Lisbon to Dakar in Senegal, began on Saturday
31 December 2005 with a 370 kilometre stage from Lisbon to Portimão,
followed on New Year's Day with a further 567 kilometres to Málaga.
Then followed a seven hour ferry crossing to Morocco for the entire rally
contingent before racing got underway in the 672 km third stage.
There have been no surprises to date with Mitsubishi leading 1-2 as it quests
for its sixth consecutive win, though the massive Volkswagen Toureg effort
is poised in third through fifth, less than a minute from the leaders. In the bikes,
the winning marque was already a foregone conclusion with KTM machinery
holding the first six places in the event and 15 of the top 17 positions. Last year
our extensive coverage of the Dakar Rally dubbed it the "Most Dangerous
Sporting Event in the World" and compared it with the famous road races of
100 years ago. This year our coverage will be written separately for motorcycles
and cars. Read and see more in GizMag Magazine.

The Orlow - Brons House is for sale.

Too cold for the kids to play in the street.
"In a few years' time they'll go boating."

Still a long wait for Spring. Dreams of last Summer.

Found her in the Phlog of Heather Champ, ain't she endearing?
You might check her out yourself on the site of Mareen Fischinger.

Fierce end after a somber start and a sunny afternoon.

Everything within a quarter of an hour.

Within reach with a hammer.

My Promised Land
In the Spring of 2002 Roger Sparks was traveling
with a virgin agenda when he landed
in America on the off chance, so it seemed at first.
But he had a plan, to meet Dr. Robert Ballard,
the discoverer of the Titanic.
