Mitsubishi unveils hybrid MIEV 4WD sport compact concept.
Mitsubishi Motors North America (MMNA) used the NAIAS to unveil
the Concept-CT yesterday, a groundbreaking concept for a hybrid-powered small car
that may influence future development of Mitsubishi models. The key to the Concept-CT's
roomy packaging, performance potential and fuel efficiency is the Mitsubishi In-wheel
Electric Vehicle (MIEV) hybrid powertrain, which employs an electric motor in each
of the vehicle's four wheels. The ultra-compact four-door hatchback combines practicality,
fun-to-drive performance and low fuel consumption. More to be read.

Didn't ask the name of the hostess in the IJkantine, the canteen with that name
next to the derelict NDSM shipyard, but snapped her, witty, and charming.

Young brilliant rascal, as he's characterized by those who say to know him.
Sander Hoeken's young and brilliant alright, a way-out but solid thinker
in web-based marketing, who's an attentive listener, aimed at sane returns.

"Barter?" Bas asked, pointing to the mindmap.
"Yeah, barter," said I, "the Russian way of doing business."

On the old NDSM shipyard alternative activities have been started.
There we may find modern forms of transport.

Honda FCX fuel cell car production announced.
In his opening remarks at the 2006 North American International Auto Show,
Honda president Takeo Fukui noted that the FCX Concept car
on the company's stand was "very close to the next generation fuel cell
vehicle we will debut in 3-to-4 years" and that the company would be offering
the media "limited driving opportunities with a prototype version of
this vehicle" as early as Q3 this year. Clearly, the era of the viable fuel cell
vehicle is nearly upon us. More!

My Promised Land
In the Spring of 2002 Roger Sparks was traveling
with a virgin agenda when he landed
in America on the off chance, so it seemed at first.
But he had a plan, to meet Dr. Robert Ballard,
the discoverer of the Titanic.
