Week 14 2009, beginning on March 30. The workdays. |
![]() Raining on and off. I walked across the river in a light drizzle, bought a bottle of wine and the newspapers. Lewis, Rhode Island |
![]() En route home, I snapped the picture of the Lotus and the Fiero. The Lotus is smiling because I told it to "Say cheese" and besides Lotuses have always been smug about things. The Fiero is not smiling because since 1985 Fieros have not had much to smile about. Of course, this one should be smiling because after all these years it's running and both headlight motors still work. Something we may not say about General Motors much longer. I kept on walking back across the river, took the misty cityscape. It started to rain harder and off in the distance I heard the rumble of thunder. Home now with rain spattering on the roof above my head and thunder and lightning making things exciting for rush hour traffic outside. Lewis, Rhode Island |

![]() The double deck Airbus A380 has set new high standards for luxury accommodation in the air but, unless you can afford to deck out your own A380 as a private jet, the Hotelicopter concept aims to top this airborne opulence by equipping a four story converted heavy lift aircraft with 18 luxuriously-appointed room hotels. Modeled on the Soviet Mil V-12, the largest helicopter ever built, of which only two prototypes were built in the 1960s, the Hotelicopter company would like us to believe they purchased one of these prototypes in 2004 with the Hotelicopter now ready for its maiden flight in June 26th. We're not sure that we do, but we like the concept. More, |
