The movement started on Rhode Island, and leapt to New England and Connecticut, and swiftly caught on in the state of New York, with a fulltime ambassador in Lenox, Massachusetts, famous for its open air concerts. As a movement The Back to Dirt Society is spreading almost quicker than gossip, and truckloads of dirt already have been dumped over various major freeways like the I-195, East- and Westbound lanes in downtown Providence. This at last, after years of unremitting zeal and effort, certainly is an important signal of the success of the Society. Mounds of fresh, loamy dirt now cover the asphalt at the crucial juncture with I195. With renewed energy , the Society will push to extend our already impressive gains North and South. After the choking growth of freeways and interstate highways it's just a natural way out. Join us! Like dandelion seeds the ideas drifted Eastward to Europe, and took roots in the capital of The Netherlands, Amsterdam. Those who want to join in the Amsterdam area are invited to react by email to A.R.I.E. Propos.

The Vondelpark is one of the first and major provisional projects
instigated by The Back to Dirt Society, where the gravel paths and asphalt lanes
are currently being covered with dirt, a mirror image of the playground
of "Roary" P. Central in New York City.

The Vondelpark is sinking, and in order to not let it disappear altogether below N.A.P. - the main constructive spirit level of social interaction - the logistic theories were basically the inspiration for the reconstruction of the park. Even before Spring will have commenced, and the park is in full bloom again, the strolling public will be able to saunter back in time to the world of Jean-Jacques Rousseau, Darwin and Vondel even. Wanna react yes?
