Week 48, 2007 starting on November 26.

Sunday, RAI Station.
(Guy)

A couple days ago, history emerged as it does,
I guess, every 12 hours:   the tide goes
out on the waterfront and reveals
the remains of a boat... a German U-Boat?
... a Viking Long Ship? ... a life boat
from some long lost ocean liner?
(Lewis)

And down on the waterfront, again, work continues
apace on the new highway that will take
the old highway away from in front
of our new home. Caution is required,
however, in hoping that the road
will be finished any time soon.
(Lewis)

Pawtucket's ancient history lives on in a factory building
that has been saved and converted to artists' studios.
And with Christmas shopping season fully upon us,
the artists threw all their studios open to the public.
A pleasant afternoon looking at art beautiful and horrible.
(Lewis)

Dear Santa, Before I go to bed I want to humbly ask you a question.
In Canadian Driver I saw this fantastic Chevy Nomad
- see the enclosed clippings -
and now I know what present I'd want from you
in case you'll come and visit our home that is.
I'm mad about Chevies, but this concept car is so way out fat
that I'd promiss you to behave like a good boy next year.
My other plan is to talk my father into buying the 1:1 model.
Your, Christopher

"A muffin, eh?"
(Guy)

"Would you call this the centre?"
(Guy)

"We're too fast for the dog to keep up
with us Joneses."
(Guy)

"You're going to the dogs, my father said."
(Guy)

"I'll grab her before she's gone."
(Guy)

"Dear Santa, If you'd ask me I'd like
a bakfiets from the Fietsfabriek."
(Guy)

Saturday night was rather balmy here
in the nightclub area in Providence.
And the stretches and the taxis and the cool dudes
in tail-out white shirts, the babes in tight
tight tight blue jeans and the bouncers were having
a big time around 1:00 am outside our building.
(Lewis)

Today, murky, gloomy, gray headlights-on
kind of drizzly day for a walk across the rive
to the "ijzerwaren" to pick up some patching
material to cover up some nail holes.
(Lewis)

See the tiny car behind the Alfa Romeo?
Yes? That's a Fiat Piccolo, it's owned by a midget.
Lots of fun! Max Carpedi.

Coffee break.
(Guy)

My Promised Land
In the Spring of 2002 Roger Sparks was traveling
with a virgin agenda when he landed
in America on the off chance, so it seemed at first.
But he had a plan, to meet Dr. Robert Ballard,
the discoverer of the Titanic.
