Alfa Romeo wint '1000 Millas Sport'.

Na de overwinning in de historische Mille Miglia eerder dit jaar, heeft Alfa Romeo Historic Automobile Team kort geleden de 19e editie van de '1000 Millas Sport' gewonnen. De in Argentinië verreden rit resulteerde wederom in een eindzege voor de klassieke Alfa 6C 1500 Super Sport.
De Alfa 6C 1500 Super Sport uit 1928, afkomstig uit het Museo Storico Alfa Romeo, werd bemand door de Italiaan Luciano Viaro en de Argentijn José Sanchez Mariño. Viaro reed de klassieke Alfa Romeo ook in de Mille Miglia-races van 2005 en 2007 als eerste over de finish. De Alfa 6C 1500 Super Sport was bovendien in 1928 de winnende auto in de historische race van Brescia (Italië). Het was destijds de eerste in een reeks van elf Mille Miglia-overwinningen van Alfa Romeo. Het record is tot nu toe door geen enkel merk verbroken. Meer.
