Week 06, 2008 starting on Monday February 4th.

A day in February, no Mayday, yet.

Hi Mom!
(Guy)

Spring's here in AMS!
(Guy)

Pause.
(Guy)

Pause 356.
(Guy)

Puch.
(Guy)

"We're on our way to Florida."

Not Miami!

Early Sunday morning it's quiet
on the beach of Noordwijk, as far as we can see.
Trifle cold perhaps.

Aerodynamic Mathis 333,
designed by Jean Andreau and Flaminio Bertoni,
snapped by Gijsbert B.

On the Rétromobile just now,
a mini-HY with a souped up 2CV engine,
the Citroën Type G,
designed by André Levebvre.
(Gijsbert B.)

"I never wait till it's Spring."
(Guy)

"Hey lazy Bones, come on!"
(Guy)

"Not to worry, it's only one wheel."
(Guy)

"You're joking, they're not my sisters."
(Guy)

"Yes, I'm having a fine day, absolutely."
(Guy)

Early Bird, Saturday 09:31.

Bugatti Veyron owners, and indeed car owners as a group, have been looking very smug since the amazing supercar posted its awesome 250mph top speed and 1000 horsepower acceleration that not even the fastest motorcycles could match. But it seems Acabion has taken the crown back for the bike brigade, with its release of a road-ready streamliner that's capable of beating they Veyron's top speed using only 20% throttle . The Acabion GTBO is said to top out at around 340mph (close to 550kmh) if you're game enough to hold on to 50% throttle, and with engines varying from 350 to 750 horsepower, it's a very serious piece of kit... Even if it does have training wheels. More.

Far away in the West, Alaska, Drew Point.

Coastal erosion of mud-rich permafrost along Beaufort Sea coastline.
Cliff height is ~3-4 m. Waves undercut permafrost
and cause block slumping (center of photo).
Photograph depicts no sand beach present to protect permafrost.
Wanna know more?

All's well when the sun sets in a nice way.

This day we got the idea how it would be
when it would be Spring again.

Socialist version of carnival.
(Guy)

"Still dear!"
(Guy)

Now he knows.
(Guy)

Bikes bloom again!
(Guy)

High noon, high spirits
on the Noordermarkt.

"The Bijenkorf must be there!"
(Guy)

The legs are the wheels of creativity.
Albert Einstein
(Guy)

(Guy)

Exota is back!
(Guy)

Italjet, wild new color.
(Guy)

A moment to take a rest.
(Guy)

Rover 3500 that survived.
(Guy)

Good morning Holland!

Riding down the Prinsengracht,
high above this mysterious canard plane,
with a highpitched shrieking hum.

"They're probably also hungry dear."

"Care if if I sit down here?"

Sweep commandos.

Good morning America!

a constructive swing to my plans for my day
in Providence .
(Lewis)

Seen together for more than two years now!
(Guy)

"Just snapped at the end of the road."

"At this here Bagels & Beans you can hear
real fine jazz on Wednesday afternoons!"

A Buick Regal, as far as we guessed, like from '73.
Couple years later GM would bolt on a Turbo
to create the famous Regal Gran Sport that had,
even in that era, breathtaking acceleration.
We will not go discuss roadholding, which was
totally beside the point, said our Lewis.
(Guy)

Pontiac Firebird and a nice one.
From the early seventies.
(Guy)

The chase. Paris in 1964.

My Promised Land
In the Spring of 2002 Roger Sparks was traveling
with a virgin agenda when he landed
in America on the off chance, so it seemed at first.
But he had a plan, to meet Dr. Robert Ballard,
the discoverer of the Titanic.
