This won't exactly mean too much to people buying gas in Europe where it has always cost much more than here in the land of plenty. And, I guess, now that the Euro has become golden these prices are a pittance to Europeans. But to us Yanks, so accustomed to cheap gasoline, this is a horrifying state of affairs. Now we can't afford to indulge in our love of mooching around aimlessly in our gas guzzling cars. And pity the poor truck driver, used to cheap diesel. Of course, I saw something in the paper today that said diesel in parts of Europe is up to nearly $9 a gallon... Nobody told us to expect this. And with cigarettes over $5 a pack, we can't afford to kill ourselves with smoke or an auto crash. Cheest! Lewis
