Enjoy the weekend! A+, Gijs

Millionaires delight. During the Concorso d'Eleganza ‘Villa d'Este’ in Cernobbio, Italy on May 21, RM Auctions will sell six very special one off show cars from the historical collection of the famous Italian coachwork firm Bertone. Apart from the striking Chevrolet Testudo, the Lamborghini Bravo and Athon and the Lancia Sibilo, two other cars will fuel the interest of automobile addicts from all over the world. The first is the Gandini designed Lamborghini Marzal, with its see through (glass) gull wing doors. This unique prototype was driven by HRH Prince Rainier and Princess Grace at the opening of the Monaco GP in 1967. This second is the 1970 Lancia Stratos HF Zero. Both cars are expected to fetch between 1 and 1,8 million Euros.

Kamagurka 'schildermarathon' in Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam. Link!

Lorenzo Marchesini De Man van NU!

Lorenzo Marchesini Volgens Wikipedia: Hans Aarsman (born 1951, Amsterdam) is a Dutch photographer, author, and lecturer at the Rijksakademie in Amsterdam; known as a significant figure in the New Topography movement. Many of his works are in the Netherlands Photo Museum. He started his career as a photojournalist for the Dutch newspaper Trouw. In 1989 he published the book Hollandse Taferelen which consisted of landscapes photographed from the roof of a camper which he pulled through the Netherlands for a year. In 1990–1991 he finished a photo series of East German states. Other photobooks produced by Aarsman include Aarsmans Amsterdam (1993), Een engeltje dat over mijn tong piest vor (1995), and Vrooom!Vrooom! (2003).
Aarsman also is a novelist and playwright. His debut literary work was oTwee hoofden, een kussen (1995) and recently he has been dedicating himself more t writing than photography.

Hans Arend de Wit I’d add that Aarsman regularly in a tv program ‘De Wereld Draait Door’ analyzes photos which appeared in the current media, and shows the general public that there’s more to be seen than we generally take for granted, that details often reveal another dimension than the obvious.
