“From time to time we depart for a mini-vacance.
In the morning we attach the mini caravan behind the DS,
and with a lovely lunch on board we roam about to seek a nice spot,
like yesterday in Puy l’Evèque,” wrote Erik Verhaest.

Still quiet.
And tomorrow crowd managers will keep the crowd under control, we hope.

"Tomorrow you won't even be able to ride a bike, it'll be an ant heap here."

"But a Porsche only seats two, isn't it?"

The street is narrower every day.

The Vondelpark will be closed today at 20:00

Occasional rain. I keep my fingers crossed.

School holidays imply extra rides.

Seemingly happy with the vehicle of his future wife.

We haven't heard of plans concerning a possible occupation of the Vondelpark.

TVR Sagaris. Still striking lines. Still Russian?

TVR Sagaris. The car's name comes from the sagaris, the Greek name
of a lightweight battle-axe used by the Scythians which was feared
for its ability to penetrate the armor of their enemies. The car was designed
by Graham Browne and Lee Hodgetts.

Tuesday the 26th of April.

Rudy was in the Bagels & Beans today to informally say good-bye to his clients.

Supple - the wheel chair becomes the sphere-chair.

By Paul Ridden. Despite not becoming the personal transport revolution that it was designed to be, the Segway has provided a wealth of design fodder for numerous self-balancing concepts, prototypes and production single occupancy vehicles. Mohamad Sadegh Samakoush Darounkolayi's entry into this year's Michelin Design Challenge, however, probably owes more to the Disney/Pixar film WALL-E – hopefully the users of his Supple concept won't end up being the grossly overweight, lethargic, mentally-challenged descendants of humanity like those aboard the Axiom cruise ship. Essentially a self-balancing chair set above an omnidirectional ball, the idea is that Supple will benefit from automated wireless guidance technology, with the driver/rider just needing to choose a destination on a GPS map using the touchscreen console, and the vehicle taking care of the rest. The 19 year-old mechanical engineering student from Iran also sees the electric transport solution having the ability to join with others to form a two-person tandem "motorcycle" or four-person automobile. More in GizMag.

What's the chance that a boat passes over the Velser Tunnel
just before we'd drive into the entrance? Well, by coincidence this happened
at 19:17.

All hands!

"Let's go sit on the terrace. It's too crowded on the water."

"From here, Hector, we'll start roaming for an hour or so."

After a long stroll in the park we get to the Bagels & Beans

The waiter was recognizable from afar, swift in his actions,
efficient, and pleasant to the guests on the terrace.

"It takes him a rather long time to come up with the drinks."

"Downstairs there is party going on, on top of a house in the park!"

Party in full swing.

And, in mid afternoon, a nice day for climbing the hill
to Brown University and waiting, with Amanda's dog Natasha,

Easter Monday.

Strikingly, overwhelmingly, strangely, obligatory beautiful,
but what would the outlook be nearer to the horizon?
Aernoud Witteveen

AW
