Went to Vermont for the 4th of July. The village celebrated Independence Day and the 250th anniversary of the establishment of Vermont by the British. The parade circled the town green in front of he town meeting hall several times so watchers could enjoy a marching unit of kazoo players, the first unicorn I have ever seen, a performing unit of ladies with lawn chairs (you had to be there to believe it), many small children, the village fire engines, two antique cars, a team of oxen and much more. BMW set to pioneer intelligent active motorcycle suspension. The trouble with setting up the suspension on a motorcycle is that you're constantly compromising. If you want a nice firm ride that's suitable for hard cornering on fast, smooth roads, you're sacrificing comfort on the highway and optimal roadholding on a bumpy surface. Electronic suspension adjustment goes some way towards addressing these concerns - at least you can change your suspension settings without having to get down under the bike with a c-spanner and a screwdriver. Ken je het verhaal van de poes en de eend? Er was eens een oude eend die iets aan het milieu wou doen. Hij wou geen benzine meer gebruiken, maar iets nuttigs doen. Op de laatste druppel brandstof sukkelde hij een dorpje in, op zoek naar een plekje om langdurig na te denken. Hij kwam een poes tegen die tegen hem een veldje wees met zacht gras dat hem goed beviel. Blijf hier maar staan zei de poes, zo lang als je wilt, ik ben op zoek naar een huis maar dat hoeft niet van steen te zijn. Zo gingen ze samenwonen, de poes in de eend. Samen werden ze oud, de poes wat eerder dan de eend en toen de poes er niet meer was kwam er een nieuwe poes in de eend. Je begrijpt dat het verhaal, ook al is het kort, nog lang zal duren. Het gebeurde allemaal in een dorpje dat La Hérie heet. Aernoud W.
