GM North America President Mark Reuss held a press conference this week announcing a couple of new models for Cadillac as well as prices for Buick's new Regal GS and the e-Assist system. e-Assist, GM's newest mild hybrid system, will set you back two grand but will help Buick's Regal, for example, get EPA numbers of 25/city and 36/highway. Really good numbers, but how long will it take you to make the bucks back with fuel savings (GM says 3 1/2 years)? Why not use Lincoln's model with the MKZ Hybrid of no additional cost for the tech? Reuss also showed the Buick Regal GS performance model with its 270-hp turbo-four and six-speed manual transmission (an automatic will be added later) that will be available this Fall for just over $35,000. In the Cadillac corner, Reuss confirmed production of the new Caddie ATS compact (above) that will fit in the range below the CTS as a 3-Series competitor (I thought that's what the CTS was?) and the XTS large luxo-sedan (XTS Concept pic below) that will replace the DTS and STS sedans. Both new Caddie models will be at your dealer in 2012. An even larger ZTS S-Class competitor for Cadillac is still in the rumor/development stage. GM is doing well these days and these new models should only add to the "excitement."

The Time Is Now! Breitling Superocean Chronograph II. The Superocean in a chronograph version. Selfwinding chronograph movement chronometercertified by COSC. Ultra-sturdy case water-resistant to 500 m, diameter 44 mm. Screw-locked crown and pushpieces. A youthful, modern, original and dynamic look. Rubber-molded unidirectional rotating bezel. Why this Breitling is a breakthrough, said QP’s Freek, is a too long story. Let’s go sit down, and I'll tell you all about this magnificent watch.

Summer in the morning.

Same oak tree, seen from our meadow, at six in the evening, and now with straw bales. Like you said, itís a landscape for painters, superimposed we see images by Potter, Van Ruysdael and Hobbema, images which have formed an inner landscape for the Dutchman, and which we regularly see as flashbacks. Aernoud W.

We often passed the border between Belgium and France, but then we pushed on to reach our destination in the neighborhood of Besançon on schedule, never leaving the highway, never seeing the old painters' landscapes, never seeing Aernoud W. So we both never walked to the bull who’s grazing near the oak tree, between Watigny and Any, under wide and high skies along quiet but narrow roads where we’d have to be prepared to take to the grass, to step aside for an oncoming car, as we do he said.

Style is my bag, says Renate.
When will we see a TAS bag in the Bijenkorf or at Pauw? TAS Industry launched its first leather bag collection with one thing in mind: "Fashion passes, style remains". People choose a TAS Industry bag because they feel good wearing something different and they see it as an extension of themselves. Clean in design with an applied raw-edge finish, people say, "TAS Industry bags are created as wearable art". TAS Industry is the creation of Renate Bobeldijk. Renate began her artistic career in technical product development and design 12 years ago in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. After immigrating to Canada in early 2005 she launched the Renate Bobeldijk Design Company, offering pattern making and design services to the apparel industry. Renate's true ambition is to create. The Hip Bag is one such effort, designed to express purpose and style with the motivation for personal use. A succession of compliments from friends and strangers invoked the inspiration that brought forth TAS Industry. Renate works from her studio in Calagry, Canada. The TAS website.

My Promised Land

In the Spring of 2002 Roger Sparks was traveling
with a virgin agenda when he landed
in America on the off chance, so it seemed at first.
But he had a plan, to meet Dr. Robert Ballard,
the discoverer of the Titanic.
