‘Suits & Stoepkrijt’. Datum: donderdag 25 augustus 2011. Plaats: Gustav Mahlerplein, Amsterdam. Tijd: 12.00-14.00 uur. Het Gustav Mahlerplein dat gelegen is aan de Amsterdamse Zuidas zal voor één dag omgetoverd worden van een serieuze, zakelijke plek tot een vrolijke, kleurrijke en speelse omgeving. Grijze stoeptegels en strakke pakken maken plaats voor een immens grote stoepkrijttekening! Onder het motto ‘Life less serious’ van het lollymerk Chupa Chups, gaat streetartist Saša Ostoja in samenwerking met een groep creatieve kids een verrassende tekening vormgeven op het plein.
‘Suits & Stoepkrijt’ zorgt ervoor dat het zakelijke en serieuze karakter van de Zuidas op 4 augustus plaats maakt voor kleur, ‘n vrolijke sfeer en vooral creativiteit. Tijdens lunchtijd worden zakenmensen getrakteerd op een welkome verandering van perspectief. De colberts kunnen uit en de serieuze zaken van de dag verdwijnen voor even op de achtergrond. Al krijtend leveren ze, samen met de streetartist en aanwezige kinderen, een bijdrage aan het levensgrote Stoepart-kunstwerk en daarmee aan een 'Life Less Serious!'
Sinds enkele jaren lieert Chupa Chups zich aan creatieve kunstprojecten, zoals ‘Eat your Art Out’, de eetbare kunstwerken die in 2009 onder meer op festivals stonden én de eetbare versie van de Nachtwacht tijdens Museumnacht 2010 in Amsterdam. Initiatieven als deze én Chupa Stoep Art passen bij de toch al kunstzinnige historie van het lollymerk; vijftig jaar geleden ontwierp Salvador Dalí het logo van Chupa Chups.

Kia set to show four-door sports sedan concept in Frankfurt. The teasers keep rolling in ahead of the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show (IAA) with Kia releasing images of a new four-door sports sedan concept. The powerplant is rumored to be a V8, but all we know for sure about the as yet unnamed car at this stage is that it seats four, is rear-wheel drive and, as you might expect from a concept car, it "signals the company's distinctive new design direction." GizMag.
