Week 43 2011, from October 24th.

The next day nothing worse than a flat tire.

Sunday.

While snowstorms ravage comfortable life in Connecticut
in Amsterdam we pleasantly continue with our run of the mill lifes,
albeit somewhat cooler.

After most pleasantly storming up the mountain road close after each other, a fast ride that took us a greater part of the afternoon, an experience that was wonderfully delightful, enjoying the roadability of the new shocks and the extended power range of the fine tuned engine, we stopped at the summit at a roadside café to take in some soup and a bite to eat. Must have been a spectacular sight, these three lightning fast DeLoreans sweeping in a tight formation through the Rockies.

"Mammie would have liked it."

Stylish drink on the Zuidermarkt.

"You sure had luck to have found such a pole."

"Come on guys, we're almost there!"

"At this Albert Speeresque bibliophile abyss I would only trust a Borgesesque* librarian to handle my requests."

"I'm still working on a pleasant retrieval system with which I can quickly find the books I want, instead of stumble upon them by chance, like for instance a certain biography of Henry Ford, the automobile man, under the F of T-Model or the S of anti-Semite."

Age appears to be best in four things; old wood best to burn,
old wine the best to drink, old friends to trust, and old authors to read.

Breitling Transocean Chrono: First-class takeoff. A brand-new Breitling model is taxiing along the runway, ready for takeoff. The Transocean with its modern lines, pure design and refined details admirably reflects the spirit of luxury and prestige of the finest long-haul journeys. Aboard its understated, streamlined fuselage is a high-performance "engine" entirely developed and produced in the Breitling workshops. As a preview celebration of this future classic, the brand with the winged B is introducing a Transocean Chronograph Limited special series fitted with a transparent caseback revealing Breitling Caliber 01 – doubtless the best chronograph movement in its category.
