A catwalk is a narrow walkway high in the air to allow workers access to parts of a structure otherwfficult to reach. Catwalks are located above a stage in a theater, between parts of a building, along the side of a bridge, on the outside of a railroad car, on the outside of a large storage tank, on the Dam Square, or in an alley, where alley cats have it their own way.

Perhaps not THE most beautiful of all, but one of my all time favorites, anyway. But not in white! A 3.4 should be in British Racing Green with either painted or chromed wire wheels. Have to admit that the 3.4 you picture does have a classic Jaguar wheel treatment.
In any case, the best of all pictures of 3.4s are from back in the days when they raced in the British Saloon Car championships, often with Sir Stirling doing amazing things behind the wheel and a couple Mini-Coopers nipping at his heels. Well, couldn't find a 3.4, but maybe this proves the point of the Mini's ability to take on maxies like a Ford with a great honking V8. (Why are these old cars in such beautiful condition for 1960s racing? you may be asking. Because they are at the Goodwood Historics and the photo's brand new. When we went to Monterey for the historic races, it was almost criminal to put exquisitely maintained classics out there fender to fender. The difference is that at Monterey the organizer bans anyone who touches metal to metal. At Goodwood, people get awards if they bend somebody's car... badge of honour and all that sort of ripping stuff, pip pip, old boyo. Lewis
