is being torn down rigorouslessly, with even its
hoist machine removed. The success of
the reconstruction depends on whether the work
will be done by amateurs or craftsmen.

Theo Niekus Report #1.
Straatfotograaf Theo Niekus kwam in de publieke aandacht door een rechtszaak nadat hij op de Dam was bekeurd, omdat hij zich daar 'zonder redelijk doel langer had opgehouden dan 15 minuten'. Niekus is actiever dan ooit, de Dam en het Damrak zijn z'n favoriete plekken, waar hij nog steeds niet is uitgekeken, en op zijn markant dynamische manier de passanten fotografeert.
Intussen heeft hij een selectie van zijn uit het straatleven gegrepen foto's laten drukken en verkoopt die voor €11.- als photo report.
